Therapy is extremely expensive.  Period.  Average costs vary by region, however the expense is usually a luxury.  The right therapy is well worth the money - if you have it.  The truth is, most do not.

Simply put, specialists are not a dime a dozen.  Many people need to travel far to get to their therapist.  We are in bigger cities, universities, and hospitals.  Lack of access to current, research-based, effective treatment is another reason people do not treat their symptoms.


Barrier #3:

Time

This is a barrier for so many of the things we wish we could do.  Sometimes it's not that we don't know what the healthy thing to do is - it is just that we think we don't have the time to do it right now, let alone on a therapist's schedule.
